Went 1-3-1 on Friday to drop to 10-7-1 on the week. If it weren’t for a missed free throw in two separate games, it would’ve been a 3-2 day, but such is gambling. You can send your hate mail to Andrew Wiggins and Tyreke Evans. It’s late, so I’m only throwing out college games for now. NBA picks will go up tomorrow. Gonna keep this one brief.
LOUISVILLE (-21) over Eastern Michigan
EMU’s only played 5 D-1 teams this year and the three best they’ve played were Michigan State, Penn State, and Oakland and they lost by double digits to all three. Cards have a +30.3 point differential on the season. Give them another blowout.
Arizona St. (+12) over KENTUCKY
The Sun Devils are only getting better and they’ve already got four wins over top-80 competition. They won at Creighton a week ago. I don’t see them winning the game, but Kentucky hasn’t covered in six straight games.
WICHITA ST. (-3) over Utah
Numbers just don’t tell the story with the Shockers right now. They’ve been injury plagued all year. Big man, Anton Grady, is still out, but Fred Van Vleet is back and now Conner Frankamp is eligible. They had an impressive showing the other night over UNLV and I expect them to repeat that against the Utes, who haven’t been overwhelmingly impressive and are 2-5-1 ATS.
North Carolina (-5.5) over TEXAS
Now that Marcus Paige is back and looking like his old self, it’s important to remember that this UNC team was ranked as the number one team in the country for a reason. I don’t think the Longhorns have the firepower to keep up with the Heels.
Oregon (+2.5) over BOISE ST.
The Broncos will be a contender in the Mountain West this year, but I don’t see ’em beating Oregon.
UCF (-10) over Florida Atlantic
FAU is pretty bad and UCF is 6-0 ATS.
Oklahoma St.. (-2) over Minnesota
Get this one early. Cowboys haven’t been great, but they’ve had a full week to get ready for a team that just lost to South Dakota and South Dakota State at home in its last two games.
UC-Irvine (+3.5) over UTAH ST.
Anteaters have a good chance to win.
UCLA (+9) over GONZAGA
Karnowski is out again and the Bruins have showed they can handle size otherwise with their win against Kentucky last week. Zags have just been okay to start the season.
