3-4 yesterday. 5-4 on the week. I sit here and bitch to you guys about my close losses, so I’ve got to be fair and admit the days when I’m just off. Yesterday was one of those days. Akron lost by 11, that K-State-TT under was over after a half, New Mexico wasn’t close, and the OKC-Minny over didn’t come close due to a poor fourth quarter. I’ve had worse days record-wise, but I haven’t been that off on four games in one day all year. The good news is we’ve built a nice cushion to allow for a bad day or two. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
St. Joseph’s (-5) over GEORGE MASON
The Hawks are gonna contend all year for the A-10 while George Mason hangs out in the cellar. St. Joe’s already has road wins this year over Richmond, Temple, and Columbia. The three games they’ve lost this year were all to top-50 teams in KenPom’s rankings. GMU is 6-10 on the year, 0-3 in conference, and they’ve already been blown out twice in those three A-10 games.
ST. BONAVENTURE (-1) over Rhode Island
The Bonnies are off to a hot start in A-10 play with three double-digit victories, two of them coming on the road. They’re 3-1 ATS at home. The Rams are 0-4 ATS on the road and their only SU victory was over Brown in overtime. Matchup wise, the one thing the Rams do really well offensively is shoot from the outside, but the Bonnies are 18th in the country in defending the three. The Bonnies have covered eight of the last nine in this series.
CLEMSON-Duke over 142
Duke’s offense has been incredible all year and have been averaging 90 over the past ten games. Even if they only get to 80 – which is a number they’ve hit in 11 of their past 12 games – you’re only counting on Clemson to get to 62 for a push.
Hawks (-2.5) over HORNETS
Charlotte has dropped seven straight and they’re 3-12 ATS in their last 15. They’re 3-15 SU and 5-12-1 ATS in their last 18 against Atlanta. Nic Batum returned to the lineup for the Hornets in their last game, but he didn’t play like he had been before the injury and they lost to Denver. Kemba Walker hasn’t played a particularly efficient game since 2016 started and it finally seems like not having Big Al and MKG is starting to catch up with this team. For their part, the Hawks have won 9 of their last 12 and are coming off of blowouts over the Bulls and Sixers.
THUNDER-Mavericks over 206.5
Sticking with the same theory of the Thunder going over from yesterday. These teams have hit the over in five of their last six meetings.
