Picks of the Day: CBB and NBA 2/8

5-1 yesterday. Finished the week 39-31-1. 30-15-1 on days not named Saturday.

Ended up going for the under parlay yesterday. Three of them hit, so congrats if you played them individually. Celtics-Kings got blown out of the water.

Perfect day in college plays. ECU was within the number in the first half up until about 30 seconds to go when they went down 11. They held the ball for the last shot, got fouled, and UConn got a technical foul to get the deserved cover. The two player props hit pretty easily. Hamilton didn’t even need an assist to cover his, but he got five anyway.

Iowa and Oregon both covered. The Ducks went down to +2000 overnight. Pretty sure you can get better odds elsewhere still, but I doubt +8000 is still out there. Outside of them, there’s not a ton of value anywhere else. With this year being so wide open, I feel like matchups in the bracket are going to be more important than ever, so better picks might emerge when that’s all set. Iowa +1500, Arizona +3500, and Miami +3500 are all decent right now though.

CLEMSON (-2) over Notre Dame
CLEMSON-Notre Dame under 139.5

Notre Dame isn’t great on the road. They’re 4-6 away from the Joyce Center. Clemson’s been perfect at home in conference play with wins over Louisville, Miami, Duke, Pitt, and Florida State. Notre Dame is coming off a big win at home over UNC, but this is their third game in six days and they’re going in to a tough environment. Jackson hasn’t been his usual self since his injury. He had 19 points against the Heels, but he was 5-18 from the field. This game will likely be played at a glacial pace, which is a big reason I like the under here.

Clippers (-9) over 76ERS
Clippers-76ERS over 205.5

In their last four meetings the Clippers have averaged 125 points and a 33 point win.

HORNETS (-5.5) over Bulls

The Hornets have played pretty well recently and they’re 18-9 SU at home this year. They’ve also covered five of the last six against the Bulls. Chicago is wrapping up their seven game road trip and this will be their sixth game in nine days. Butler and Mirotic are still out tonight.

PISTONS-Raptors over 207

Pistons over in 5 of last 6. Raptors over in 8 of last 12. Pistons-Raptors games have gone over six straight times. All six of those were over 207 as well. Both teams have scored over 100 in all six as well.

Nuggets (-2) over NETS

The Nuggets are sneaky hot right now, at least for their standards. They’ve covered 12 of their last 15 including 7 in a row. But they’ve also beaten the Raptors, Bulls, and the Knicks on the road in their last four games. They have a positive point differential over the last ten games. The Nets are the Nets.

GRIZZLIES (-3.5) over Trail Blazers

Blazers have been playing well lately, but Memphis is 19-8 at home and have been playing well themselves. They’ve beat Portland five straight times in Memphis and are 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven.
